Role Overview
Kodak is looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Battery Coating Division located in Rochester, NY. This position will be part of a team that operates a pilot and production-scale RTR facility at the Eastman Business Park in Rochester, NY. This facility provides both experimental and production toll coating services to support the new products and technologies for the battery and energy industries. The ideal candidate will have prior experience maintaining roll-to-roll pilot and manufacturing equipment.
Requirements:
Provide multi-discipline capability to repair, maintain, install, and make improvements to chemical processing equipment and machinery (includes pneumatics, hydraulics, controls (PLC's), pumps and electrical components)
Some experience or expertise in piping, HVAC equipment and controls
Ability to achieve a high level of expertise of chemical process equipment for effective troubleshooting and equipment repair
Execute preventive maintenance program
Calibrate, alignment and make adjustments with test equipment and production equipment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software tools
Ability to fabricate to exact tolerances using lathes, drill presses, grinders, and other shop equipment
Skills required:
Formal instrumentation, electrical, mechanical, and/or AEM training and demonstrated experience
Mechanical equipment repair training and/or demonstrated experience: pumps, mechanical seals, agitators, gear boxes, fans (bearings, sheaves), alignment
Demonstrate practical analytical troubleshooting skills
Able to read electrical, instrument and machine drawings
Able to read PLC programs to troubleshoot equipment problems
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Excellent safety record - places safety and environment as top priority in all work
Knowledge of Lock Out / Tag Out
Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids)
Good communication skills - daily communications with maintenance planner, technical staff and operations as needed
Good team player - willing be flexible, work in other areas and with other trades as needed
HS diploma, 2-year schooling and/or 5 plus years of demonstrated experience
