Job Title: Battery Development Technician
The Battery Development Technician supports advanced battery cell manufacturing and testing in a controlled laboratory and cleanroom environment. This role focuses on equipment setup and operation, chemical mixing, data collection, and continuous process improvement to ensure safe, reliable, and high-quality battery development. The technician works closely with engineering and cross-shift teams to execute experiments, maintain equipment, and enhance processes that enable cutting-edge battery technology.

Work Environment
This role is based in a laboratory and cleanroom environment focused on advanced battery cell innovation and development. Technicians work with specialized equipment for coating, electrode processing, cutting, and cell assembly, as well as laboratory instruments for testing and data collection. The team operates across multiple shifts, with approximately nine technicians on third shift, seven to eight on second shift, and nearly thirty on first shift, creating a collaborative, cross-shift environment with frequent interaction with engineering and maintenance teams. Work requires consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to cleanroom protocols, as well as strict attention to safety, housekeeping, and proper chemical handling and disposal. The schedule may involve any shift based on operational needs, and the work is entirely on-site in the lab and cleanroom setting. The environment emphasizes teamwork, continuous improvement, and participation in business planning and deployment activities, offering exposure to cutting-edge battery technology and a unique opportunity to contribute to innovative energy solutions.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
