Batch Processing Chemical Technician — Taylors, SC
Pay: $20+/hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday
Training: 1st Shift
Permanent Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift
A day in the life
You start your shift by reviewing the day’s batch sheets and SOPs. After confirming the correct raw materials, you stage, weigh, and charge ingredients into mixers or reactors. Throughout the run, you track reaction progress, verify and manage pH levels, and operate production and batch-processing equipment, including pressure and vacuum tanks. You consult Safety Data Sheets (SDS) before handling any substances and label all materials, tanks, totes, drums, and finished goods accurately.
Documentation is second nature—you complete batch sheets and production records precisely. You collaborate with Quality Control to ensure the batch meets spec, then help load or unload chemical tankers as needed. You keep your work area clean and orderly, and you immediately report equipment issues, process deviations, or safety concerns to supervision.
