Job description


Aerotek is hiring Batch Operators for a manufacturing company located in Blytheville, AR. These roles are both contract to hire opportunities working a rotating shift. If interested and qualified, please apply for immediate consideration.


Pay: $19/hr starting out. Will increase to $22/hr once full time.


Rotating shift: 2-3-2 schedule 6am-6pm one week, then 6pm-6am the following week.


Must be comfortable wearing a respirator for the majority of the shift

Position Summary


As a Batch Operator , you will be responsible for verifying raw materials, processing production batches according to strict formulas, operating production equipment, and maintaining accurate quality and production records. You will also assist with equipment troubleshooting, perform minor preventive maintenance, and operate forklifts to support plant operations. This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role that requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to workplace safety.


Key Responsibilities


+ Verify raw material identification and package weights before batching.

+ Process batches accurately according to established manufacturing formulas and procedures.

+ Operate, monitor, and adjust production equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.

+ Troubleshoot routine equipment issues and identify mechanical concerns.

+ Perform minor preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.

+ Complete production line and equipment changeovers as needed.

+ Maintain accurate quality control and production documentation.

+ Safely operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts to transport materials and finished products.

+ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

+ Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to achieve production goals and minimize downtime.


Qualifications Required Skills


+ Experience in manufacturing, production, batching, mixing, or compounding environments.

+ Ability to operate and adjust production machinery.

+ Experience operating sit-down and stand-up forklifts.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.

+ Ability to follow detailed manufacturing formulas and written procedures.

+ Experience documenting production and quality control information accurately.

+ Comfortable performing physically demanding work in an industrial setting.

+ Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.


Preferred Qualifications


+ Experience with chemical blending, compounding, or batching processes.

+ Knowledge of machine start-up, shut-down, and changeover procedures.

+ Experience working with Human Machine Interfaces (HMI).

+ Mechanical maintenance experience, including inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs.

+ Experience working in hot, dusty, or physically demanding production environments.

+ Ability to climb multiple levels within a production facility.

+ Desire to learn and advance into higher-level technical operator positions.

Job Type & Location


This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Blytheville, AR.


Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.


Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
