Batch Chemical Processing Technician — Taylors, SC

Compensation: $20+/hour, commensurate with experience

Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday

Training: 1st shift onboarding

Ongoing Shift: Transition to 2nd or 3rd shift after training

A day in the life

You clock in at our established chemical manufacturing site in Taylors, SC and review the day’s batch sheets. You confirm raw materials, check SDS guidance, and stage drums, totes, and tanks. You measure, mix, and process materials with precision, tracking pH and reaction conditions while equipment hums steadily. You collaborate with Quality Control to verify the batch meets spec, record results, and label finished goods accurately. Between batches, you keep the area clean, organized, and safe—and you flag any equipment or process abnormalities right away.

What you’ll take ownership of

  • Executing batch sheets and SOPs while following all safety requirements
  • Handling and processing raw materials used in chemical production
  • Measuring, mixing, and processing materials per batch instructions
  • Monitoring reactions, production processes, and in-process parameters (including pH)
  • Operating production and batch-processing equipment
  • Working with pressure and vacuum tanks
  • Reviewing Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and applying proper chemical-handling procedures
  • Verifying correct materials before starting each batch
  • Accurately completing batch sheets and production documentation
  • Partnering with Quality Control to ensure batches meet specifications
  • Identifying and labeling raw materials, tanks, totes, drums, and finished goods
  • Loading and unloading chemical tankers as needed
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, safety-focused production area
  • Reporting equipment issues, safety concerns, and process abnormalities to supervision

What sets you up for success

  • Experience in chemical manufacturing, chemical operations, batch processing, or related production work (preferred)
  • Hands-on familiarity with batch handling and raw materials
  • Working knowledge of chemical mixing/reactions and production processes
  • Background monitoring or adjusting pH (nice to have)
  • Experience with pressure/vacuum tanks (plus)
  • Strong math aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to follow detailed batch sheets, formulas, and process instructions
  • Sharp focus on safety, quality, and documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and work reliably in an industrial environment
  • Availability to train on 1st shift, then move to a consistent 2nd or 3rd shift
