Overview:
To build and strengthen the character of Jr. and Sr. High School students through structured and recreational basketball.
Responsibilities:
- Teach the students how to play/respect the game of basketball, enforcing the rules.
- Develop and run a 2-hour basketball program 1-2 times a week for youth ages 13-19.
- Develop and run a 2-hour basketball program once a week for youth ages 9-12.
- Responsible for keeping the stats and submitting them to the Corps Officer at the end of each month.
- Responsible for handling the Registration of the participants prior to the start of the program.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the gymnasium, hallways, and restroom facilities throughout the Corps building.
- Responsible for notifying the Youth Ministry Coordinator of any issues.
- Responsible for reporting to the Youth Ministry Coordinator of any problems, injuries, or incidents involving the property, program and/or the participants.
- The Basketball Coach reports directly to the Corps Officers regarding all youth and family recreation related issues
- The Basketball Coach is responsible for maintaining a safe and structured environment by following the Keepsafe policies.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and/or experience with basketball coaching
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Attention to detail.
- Problem-solving and assessment with the ability to multitask.
- Work as a team player as well as independently
- Good organizational skills, writing skills, and communication skills are a must.
- Has respect and consideration for the people being served.
