    Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Basic Analyst supporting the Missile Defense Agency’s Directorate for Test Resources (MDA/DTR) at the Von Braun Complex on the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. Astrion is at the forefront of new missile defense technologies and supports the MDA’s rigorous operational and developmental testing.     REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

     

    • Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science degree in a related field; 5 years of experience may be substituted for the BA/BS degree requirement
    • No direct experience required. Experience with DoD test processes, test support, and/or test execution desired.
    • Current Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
    • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time

     

    HIGHLY DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS 

     

    • Capable of executing analytical tasks and utilizing analytical techniques and processes to support complex developmental and operational test programs.
    • Capable of executing planning, monitoring, acquisition, and implementation support for complex systems.
    • Knowledge, skills, and abilities in the analysis field.
    • Capable of developing and utilizing analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.
    • Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizations, verbally, electronically, and in writing.
    • Possess exceptional technical writing and Government reporting/documentation skills (e.g., Congressional/GAO Test inquiries).
    • Proficient with Windows-based PC software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams)

     

     RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    The Shore Support Analyst (Basic) shall perform travel support to personnel that deploy to test ranges and other locations in the contiguous U.S. (CONUS) and outside the contiguous U.S. (OCONUS) in support of Missile Defense System (MDS) flight tests. This may include ensuring personnel have required access to installations and facilities, ensuring installations are prepared to support the personnel - including meals and lodging, and ensuring all MDA traveler requirements are met. While deployed with the mission support team, the analyst will coordinate and execute all support functions associated with mission deployments, and they will maintain accountability of all deployed personnel until return to home station. Key responsibilities will include:

     

    • Act as site lead while deployed and execute shore support planning and execution activities to ensure all test team site specific accommodations and other resources meet mission support test requirements.
    • Develop and maintain deployed personnel accountability reports, develop emergency rosters, and ensure all deployed personnel understand site-specific safety and security requirements.
    • Coordinate assessment of testing requirements, technical analyses, and range/test facility assessments for MDS testing.
    • Coordinate shore support requirements with test ranges, forward based test centers, including infrastructure, instrumentation, auxiliary sensors, new facility development, and/or modifications to existing facilities.
    • Implement MDS Test Policy and test functional management approach, including preparation and execution of critical test documentation.
    • Ensure DTR leadership maintains situational awareness of activities impacting DTR interests at deployed locations.
    • Develop, integrate, and de-conflict the detailed flight test event execution plans for an integrated tactical and strategic MDS test picture.
    • Other duties as assigned.
