Job Summary
Bellefonte Café is seeking a seasoned Bartender/Server to join our team. This role is best suited for someone who’s equally confident running a bar and taking care of a dining room in a small, fast-paced environment.
Our bar program is rooted in classic cocktails, consistency, and attention to detail. Service here is hands-on, professional, and guest-focused-- this is not a training role. You should be able to step in and contribute immediately.
Availability for both day and evening shifts is required.
Responsibilities
- Take food and drink orders with confidence and provide thoughtful recommendations
- Prepare classic cocktails, wine, beer, and house drinks with consistency and precision
- Seamlessly move between bar and floor service as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming workspace
- Verify legal drinking age and follow all alcohol service laws
- Accurately process payments and handle cash with accountability
- Balance drawers and ensure accuracy in all cash and card transactions
- Monitor, restock, and assist with ordering bar inventory and supplies
- Communicate with management on inventory levels and product needs.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including prep and breakdown
- Work closely with the team to keep service smooth and efficient
Qualifications
- Proven bartending experience in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management and ordering preferred
- Demonstrated ability to responsibly handle cash and reconcile transactions
- Solid knowledge of classic cocktails and foundational mixology
- Ability to execute drinks accurately without relying on recipes
- High attention to detail and consistency under pressure
- Strong communication, multitasking, and time-management skills
- Professional, team-oriented mindset
- Must meet legal requirements for alcohol service
