We are seeking a friendly and knowledgeable Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-volume craft cocktail bar. Additional experience working in a restaurant and familiarity with different point-of-sale systems preferred.
Duties:
Verify identification and age requirements of customers
Open and maintain tabs throughout the shift
Make suggestions based on customer tastes and preferences
Build a good rapport with customers to create a positive atmosphere
Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring charges are accurate and returning correct change to patrons, balancing the cash register
Clean draft lines and change kegs
Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
Serve both food and drinks to customers at the bar
Keep customer areas clean and bus the bar when needed
Qualifications:
Customer service
Planning and multi-tasking
Knowledge of spirits, cocktails, beer, and wine, and a desire to learn more
Self-motivated with a high energy level
Strong verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
High school diploma or GED
At least 1 year of experience in hospitality or guest services
Experience using POS systems
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
