    About the Role

    The Bartender is an hourly, non-exempt position within the Food & Beverage department at HeadPinz and FastTrax Entertainment Centers, supporting operations across all locations. This role reports to the Food & Beverage Manager, Guest Services Supervisor, or General Manager and is responsible for delivering safe, compliant, and professional beverage service in a fast-paced entertainment environment. Bartenders play a key role in responsible alcohol service, guest safety, and asset protection while maintaining a clean, organized, and controlled bar area.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    Safety, Alcohol Compliance & Risk Prevention (Primary Responsibility)

    • Strictly comply with all federal, state, and local alcohol service laws and company policies.
    • Verify valid identification prior to alcohol service and refuse service when required.
    • Monitor guest behavior and alcohol consumption to prevent over-service or unsafe situations.
    • Identify, report, and immediately address unsafe conditions including spills, broken glass, overcrowding, or disorderly conduct.
    • Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and assist with emergency response as trained.

    Beverage Service & Guest Experience

    • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and standards.
    • Maintain control of the bar area to ensure safe and orderly guest flow.
    • Communicate bar policies and service expectations clearly and professionally.
    • Address guest concerns while prioritizing safety, compliance, and policy enforcement.
    • Escalate alcohol-related or safety concerns to management immediately.

    Operations, POS & Asset Protection

    • Accurately operate POS systems in accordance with company cash-handling procedures.
    • Ensure all beverage sales are properly entered, closed, and reconciled.
    • Handle cash, credit cards, and vouchers responsibly to protect company assets.
    • Maintain secure control of alcohol inventory and bar supplies.
    • Protect company assets by preventing theft, misuse, or policy violations.

    Cleanliness & Facility Safety Standards

    • Maintain cleanliness of bar areas, equipment, floors, and high-touch surfaces.
    • Remove trash, spills, and debris promptly to prevent slip and trip hazards.
    • Ensure walkways and exits remain clear and unobstructed.
    • Assist with general facility cleanliness as needed.

    Teamwork, Training & Accountability

    • Support other departments as needed to maintain overall facility safety and guest flow.
    • Participate in required safety, operational, and alcohol compliance training.
    • Follow all written SOPs, checklists, and safety protocols.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, awareness, and proactive safety enforcement.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
    • Previous bartending, food & beverage, entertainment, or customer service experience preferred.
    • Professional appearance with a positive, alert, and responsible demeanor.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must meet minimum age requirements as defined by company policy.

    Physical & Environmental Requirements

    • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
    • Frequent bending, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motions.
    • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
    • Ability to work in a high-noise, high-energy entertainment environment.
