Bartender-Part Time
Our Special Events Bartenders are responsible for serving guests with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages during daytime and evening functions. Staff members in the Bartender position play a critical role in the Museum's delivery of a world-class guest experience by preparing and presenting the Museum's beverage offerings in accordance with menu and recipe standards.
Core Responsibilities
- Properly checks guests' IDs to ensure legal drinking age, monitors guest consumption of alcoholic beverages
- Sets up bar with all beverages, ice, mixers, garnishes, polished glassware, napkins, and straws that are necessary for the event
- Transports and handles all equipment properly and with care
- Prepares cocktails, pours and mixes drinks quickly and accurately in a customer service-oriented manner
- Breaks down bar of supplies, cleans up bar area in event space of all equipment. (Trash, glassware, bottles, glassware etc.)
- Contributes to the overall effectiveness of team management of all problems, issues, and opportunities
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday availability required and during the week as events are scheduled and booked
- Day and evening availability

The Ideal Candidate Will
- Must be 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- BASSET Certification required
- Exhibits effective communication skills
- Able to take direction effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability of maintaining a stationary position, standing for prolonged periods and in both indoor and outdoor settings
- Must be able to pick up, hold, carry, and lift overhead up to 30 pounds
- Must be able to use arms, hands and fingers to hold bottles, glassware, utensils, sharp knives
- Noise level is usually normal to occasionally loud; employee must have the ability to hear, listen and speak clearly
