JOB SUMMARY

A bartender at Anise creates unique experiences for our guests that center around the simple enjoyment of a well-crafted beverage. Bartenders are fun and professional individuals who thrive in an upbeat, fast-paced work environment and exhibit a passion for craft cocktails, local beer, chef driven food, and great guest service. This role includes but is not limited to learning guests’ preferences, crafting original drink experiences, and expertly delivering signature beverages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver a consistently high level of guest service. Give unobtrusive, knowledgeable, and genuine service to every guest, every time.
  • Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company standards in an efficient manner
  • Possessing and utilizing knowledge of all offered restaurant menus
  • Keep bar area clean in accordance with the company’s guidelines as well as the requirements of the local health department
  • Maintain an accurate cash drawer throughout the shift and be able to account for any and all discrepancies
  • Develop an efficient work pace that keeps the guests at the bar and in the dining room satisfied at all times
  • Must work in partnership with servers to deliver a seamless guest experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or related preferred
  • Minimum 2+ years experience bartending in an upscale dining environment
  • Current TABC and Food Handler’s certification
  • Exhibit elevated food, wine, and beverage knowledge
  • Ability to utilize jiggers for measured pours and follow precise cocktail recipes
  • Knowledge of POS systems
  • Friendly, courteous, and well-spoken
  • Works well within a team environment
  • Organized and detail oriented with the ability to be flexible
  • Motivated to grow and learn new and innovative food and beverage techniques and recipes
  • Operate with passion, integrity, and respect for both internal team members and external guests
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move product, equipment and supplies up to fifty (50) pounds
  • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
  • Exposure to temperatures: <32 degrees Fahrenheit (freezers), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators), >90 degrees Fahrenheit.
