Customer service is at the forefront of this position. While making great coffee beverages is a key component to the role, it all begins and ends with guest interaction. As a Barista at Gaucho, you are an ambassador to the brand and a fundamental pillar of the brand is maintaining an excellent guest experience.
Main Responsibilities of a Barista:
Greeting guests upon arrival and welcoming them
Listening to questions and assisting guests
Fulfilling take-out and dine in orders
Distributing pick-up orders appropriately
Monitoring and answering incoming phone calls
Expressing gratitude for guests' visit and patronage
Responsibilities of a Barista:
Open/Close Marketplace area & station
Maintain clean, organized and well stocked station
Tune and detail equipment as required
Place guest orders and prepare them
Handle guest transaction through the POS
Develop creative, new drink options for the menu
Notify supervisors of issues or concerns
Barista Job Requirements:
At least 3 years of experience & training as a barista.
Experience with La Marzocco espresso machine
Excellent interpersonal and social skills (forward facing guests)
Organization & time management a must
ServeSafe certification a plus
Diligent self-starter with great communication skills
Genuine passion for the hospitality industry
