The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering exceptional customer service. Barista - $18-$18.50/hour + tipsWe are seeking a friendly, energetic, and customer-focused Barista to join our team.  The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee and tea, maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, and delivering exceptional customer service.Responsibilities

• Greet Customers warmly and take orders accurately
• Prepare and serve coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to company recipes and standards
• Operate coffee equipment (espresso machines, grinders, brewers) safely and efficiently
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including counters and equipment
• Handle customer payments through POS system and online ordering platform
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed throughout the shift
• Follow health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Address customer inquiries, resolve complaints, and escalate concerns to the manager when necessary
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and inventory tasks
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations

Skills/Experience

• Must pass a Chicago Department of Aviation/Homeland Security background check

• Food handler, allergen and alcohol awareness certificates are required
• Previous barista or customer service experience preferred but not required - we are willing to train the right candidate!  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a team-oriented mindset
• Available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
