Responsibilities:
Prepare sandwiches, pastries, and other café food items while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service by greeting guests, answering questions, and making product recommendations.
Accurately process cash, credit card, and other electronic payment transactions through the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary café, dining, and food preparation areas throughout each shift.
Stock and replenish coffee, food, paper products, and other café supplies as needed.
Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory using First-In, First-Out (FIFO) practices.
Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including proper food handling procedures.
Operate café equipment, including espresso machines, coffee brewers, blenders, ovens, and POS systems, in a safe and efficient manner.
Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, cash handling, and equipment maintenance.
Work collaboratively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operations and a positive guest experience.
Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues to a supervisor when appropriate.
Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, promotions, and seasonal products to effectively assist guests.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable gaming, health, and safety regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the successful operation of the café.
Qualifications:
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Ability to prepare beverages and food items according to recipes and quality standards.
Basic math and cash handling skills.
Ability to operate a point-of-sale (POS) system and café equipment after training.
Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
Ability to multitask and prioritize duties while delivering exceptional guest service.
