About Us
At Mavericks Dancehall – The Colony, we believe great service starts behind the scenes. We’re a fast-paced, high-energy bar known for our welcoming atmosphere, strong pours, and loyal crowd. We’re looking for a dependable and hard-working Barback to support our bartending team and help keep our operation running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:
- Stock the bar with liquor, beer, wine, ice, mixers, glassware, and supplies
- Clean and reset the bar during and after shifts
- Assist bartenders during busy hours (e.g., restocking, changing kegs, prepping garnishes)
- Collect and wash glassware quickly and efficiently
- Remove trash and recycling throughout shift
- Perform opening, closing, and side duties as assigned
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
What We’re Looking For:
- A positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to learn and take direction
- Punctuality and reliability
- Previous experience is a plus but not required — we’re willing to train the right person!
- TABC & Food Handlers Certificate will be required
- In uniform and maintain a clean professional appearance
- Punctual and reliable
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Must attend monthly team meetings
