Barback

Assist in creating polished, memorable beverage experiences by ensuring the bar is prepared, organized, and ready to deliver exceptional service as a Barback at Nemacolin. You support bartenders and culinary associates through thoughtful preparation, attentive teamwork, and genuine hospitality while building valuable knowledge of beverage service and the hospitality industry. This role offers hands-on experience and a strong foundation for growing your skills and advancing a food and beverage career.

What You Will Create

• Service-ready bar environments by maintaining stock levels, completing side work, organizing supplies, and keeping bar and service areas clean, polished, and prepared for every shift
• Seamless beverage experiences by supporting bartenders and culinary associates with timely preparation, service assistance, guest interaction, and a willingness to step in wherever the team needs support
• The opportunity to build beverage expertise through hands-on exposure to cocktails, mocktails, spirits, beer, wine, food, allergens, industry trends, and seasonal cocktail research and development
• Positive relationships with guests, members, and associates through following service and safety standards, and developing the knowledge, confidence, and teamwork that can open doors to future opportunities in food and beverage

Qualifications

• Previous bartending, restaurant, or guest service experience helpful, but not required
• RAMP certification through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is required and must be maintained
• Ability to learn and use POS systems and perform basic mathematical functions
• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to speak English fluently
• Ability to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to follow established service, safety, responsible alcohol service, and knife-handling standards
