Hotel: Legacy Te Waonui Hotel Franz Josef

Location: West Coast - 3 Wallace Street, Franz Josef

Employment Type: Full-time, permanent position

Hours of Work: Guaranteed 30 hours per week, on a rotating roster, including weekends.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $31.50 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our bar and support our wider Food & Beverage team. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about service excellence and confident leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do and Your Responsibilities:

• Lead the day-to-day bar operations, ensuring smooth service and a great guest experience
• Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, maintaining high quality and presentation standards
• Supervise the team during service, delegate tasks, and support training and development of junior staff
• Manage beverage stock including ordering, stocktakes, and cost control
• Support opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS processes
• Ensure compliance with the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act and all health and safety standards
• Assist with bar service for events and functions, delivering consistent service during busy periods
• Build positive guest relationships, handle feedback professionally, and maintain a clean, organised bar environment
• Work closely with the Food & Beverage team to support overall operational and financial goals

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• 1-2 years experience in a similar role within a Food & Beverage environment is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
