Summary

Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our Event Set Up team as an Event Set Up Lead at Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay located in Tampa, Florida.

The Banquet Room Set-Up Lead works closely with the Event Set-Up Team to efficiently set up and break down meeting and event spaces, including arranging tables and chairs and ensuring water and other required items are properly placed. This role is responsible for reading and understanding group detail reports, making informed decisions based on event requirements, and communicating clearly with the Event Planning Team, meeting planners, and other departments. The Lead provides direction and oversight to co-workers, builds positive working relationships with meeting planners, and helps ensure each event is executed accurately and professionally.

The ideal candidate has strong communication and organizational skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The position requires the ability to lift and move moderately heavy items and remain active for extended periods.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift moderate weight
• Able to work a flexible schedule. (Mornings, Evenings, Weekdays and Weekends)
• Previous Leadership experience preferred
• Previous Event Set Up Experience preferred (minimum of 1 yr)
• Must be able to drive hotel vehicles (Box Truck or golf carts) for off property Hotel events
