Banquet Manager MEMPHIS PYRAMID Banquets & Events The Bass Pro Shops Pyramid in Memphis, TN, offers a variety of unique dining and entertainment options, including Wahlburgers, the Fishbowl Bar & Bowling Alley, and The Lookout and Cypress Lodge, which feature multiple banquet, conference, and entertainment spaces.
OVERVIEW
The Banquet Dishwasher keeps the banquet kitchen and event operation running smoothly by washing and returning dishes, glassware, flatware, and kitchen equipment quickly and correctly, and by maintaining clean, safe, and organized back-of-house areas before, during, and after events.
KEY PERFORMANCE ELEMENTS / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
DISH AND KITCHEN UTILITY - Washes china, glassware, flatware, pots, pans, and catering equipment by machine and by hand.
- Operates dishwashing and other kitchen cleaning equipment safely and correctly.
- Keeps up with high volumes of dishware returned from banquet service so items are ready for the next course or event.
- Returns clean dishes, utensils, and equipment to their proper storage areas.
- Sorts and removes trash and recycling, placing it in designated areas, and cleans trash cans.
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors and keeps dish areas clean and orderly.
- Assists with basic food prep and other kitchen duties as directed.
HOSPITALITY TO YOUR TEAM - Arrives to work on time as scheduled, well-groomed in the proper work attire, and ready to work.
- Clocks in and out as scheduled.
- Demonstrates a helpful and positive attitude towards team members.
- Completes all assigned tasks and duties assigned by managers and supervisors.
- Follows proper kitchen breakdown procedures before leaving at the end of the shift.
HOSPITALITY TO THE VENUE - Inspects kitchen, prep, storage, and dish areas and cleans as needed.
- Keeps the immediate supervisor advised of any maintenance issues.
- Reports any unsafe conditions to maintain safety and sanitation standards.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required; we will train.
- Ability to work quickly and stay organized in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work around hot water and cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to understand and follow instructions and safety procedures.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, including early setups and late breakdowns as event schedules require.
