Salary: $20.60/hour
Job Duties:
- Responsible for assisting taxpayers in person, by phone or through written correspondence with all matters involving property tax; and processing large amounts of paperwork in compliance with deadlines established by state statues.
- Other duties include processing tax payments; preparing tax statements and receipts; preparing deposit slips for pickup; processing returned checks; maintaining refunds, revenue deposits and recordings, sewer billing, Liquor and Amusement licenses and Mortgage Company billings; and posting contract payments on delinquent land tax.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or its equivalent.
- One year of job related experience in government accounting or business preferred.
- Must pass a clerical examination.
- Must submit to and pass a background check and drug screen.
