    Compensation

    $260,000 – $390,000+

    A nationally recognized AmLaw 100 firm is seeking a Bankruptcy & Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its New York office.

    This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, lenders, private equity sponsors, distressed investors, and other stakeholders in sophisticated bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency matters.

    Ideal Background

    3–6 years of bankruptcy, restructuring, and insolvency experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

    • Experience representing debtors, secured lenders, unsecured creditors, official committees, distressed investors, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions

    • Experience handling Chapter 11 bankruptcies, out-of-court restructurings, workouts, recapitalizations, distressed acquisitions, and insolvency-related litigation

    • Experience advising clients on debtor-in-possession (DIP) financings, cash collateral matters, Section 363 asset sales, restructuring support agreements, and bankruptcy plan negotiations

    • Experience drafting and negotiating restructuring agreements, financing documents, purchase agreements, pleadings, motions, and other bankruptcy-related documents

    • Experience appearing in bankruptcy court, participating in contested matters, and managing all phases of restructuring engagements is preferred

    • Strong legal research, writing, analytical, negotiation, and oral advocacy skills

    • Ability to independently manage sophisticated restructuring matters while maintaining significant client interaction

    • Excellent academic credentials

    J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

    New York bar admission required or ability to become admitted
