LHH is assisting a respected law firm in Tampa, FL in its search for an experienced Bankruptcy Legal Assistant to support a busy creditor's rights and bankruptcy practice. This is a fully onsite position offering the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative legal team handling high-volume, complex matters.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, revise, and proofread bankruptcy pleadings and correspondence, including proofs of claim and motions
  • Perform electronic filings through CM/ECF and applicable state court systems
  • Maintain and organize case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm procedures
  • Manage calendars, track deadlines, and monitor case activity
  • Communicate with clients, court personnel, trustees, and opposing counsel
  • Assist with hearing preparation, exhibits, and case materials
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys and paralegals as needed
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of legal assistant experience, ideally within bankruptcy or creditor's rights
  • Experience with CM/ECF and electronic court filings
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
