Description

Our client, a diversified financial services company providing banking and investing services, is seeking a Banking Ops Specialist for a 4 month contract role located in Jacksonville, FL. This role is fully onsite.

The Banking Ops Specialist II supports routine day-to-day operations of consumer and commercial banking. Under moderate supervision, this job performs administrative/ transactional banking tasks such as assisting with service transactions, supporting multi-channel inbound referrals, verifying daily proofs and processing payments that sometimes require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Answers service and referral calls and responds to customer questions and assists with service transactions.
  • Verifies that daily proofs and reconciliations are compliant with corporate accounting and control policies.
  • Validates accuracy of payments, tickets and online entries.
  • Provides solutions to customer, branch or bank inquiries and escalates issues as necessary.
  • Considers multiple resources and records when investigating customer inquiries.
  • Enters transactions into CRT/PC and balances general ledger accounts.
  • Ensures work is properly safeguarded and controlled in accordance with banking policies and procedures.
  • Assists with subject matter expert project as requested.
  • Handle day?to?day unclaimed property research: SOVOS research, escheatment research, due diligence, internal requests, documentation, reporting, and state follow?ups.
  • State Escheatment Knowledge: Working knowledge of state escheatment laws, reporting timelines, due?diligence requirements, and remittance processes.

Educational Requirements
  • High School Preferred.
Work Experience
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in unclaimed property, tax operations, accounting, banking, or compliance?related roles
Advanced Excel Skills
  • Experience with reporting and data analysis, including functions such as VLOOKUP.

Pay Rate $20.60 - $22.60 per hour
