Banking Litigation Associate

Location: Savannah, Georgia

Position Overview

A well-established law firm in Savannah, Georgia is seeking a Banking Litigation Associate with 2–5 years of experience to represent financial institutions and commercial clients in complex disputes. The position provides the opportunity to handle sophisticated litigation while developing significant experience in motions practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and courtroom advocacy.

Responsibilities

  • Handle banking and financial disputes through trial and appeal
  • Represent financial institutions and commercial clients in litigation matters
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
  • Conduct discovery and take and defend depositions
  • Assist with case strategy and trial preparation
  • Handle matters involving lending disputes, contract enforcement, fraud, fraudulent transfers, and related commercial claims
  • Appear in Georgia Superior and State Courts, the Georgia State-wide Business Court, and U.S. District Courts
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide responsive case updates

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of litigation experience
  • Banking, financial services, commercial, or business litigation experience preferred
  • Strong legal research and writing abilities
  • Experience with discovery and motions practice
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and advocacy skills
  • Interest in developing courtroom and trial experience
  • Georgia Bar admission required
