This role supports specialized banking and financial services operations involving government reporting, deposit-account reconciliation, deceased customer processing, and legal or regulatory requests. The specialist will research account activity, reconcile financial records, process sensitive notifications, and help maintain accurate records for regulatory and audit requirements.
• Government & Regulatory Reporting: Process government reporting, withholding, interest reporting, escheatment, liens, levies, garnishments, and subpoenas involving bank or financial accounts.
• Death Notifications: Process deceased customer notifications, update account records, research account ownership and documentation, and support deceased-account servicing procedures.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reconciliations of bank deposit and general ledger accounts.
• Transaction Research: Investigate reconciliation breaks, account discrepancies, historical transactions, statements, cleared checks, and supporting banking documentation.
• Financial Operations: Prepare journal entries and support month-end close, account maintenance, returned mail processing, and operational controls.
• Banking or financial services operations experience required; candidates whose experience is primarily healthcare or accounts payable without banking/financial-services operations experience will not meet this requirement.
• 3+ years of bank deposit operations, financial institution operations, treasury operations, or bank/general ledger reconciliation experience.
• Government reporting, regulatory processing, legal-order processing, escheatment, tax/interest reporting, or deceased-account/death-notification experience required.
• Bachelor's degree or High School Diploma/GED with 7 years of banking experience.
