Job Summary


The Bank Manager serves as the operational leader of the Wheaton banking team, ensuring exceptional client experiences, strong operational performance, and a collaborative workplace culture. This role partners closely with market leadership to drive branch success, support business development efforts, strengthen community relationships, and cultivate an engaged, high-performing team.

The ideal candidate is a proactive leader who enjoys coaching others, solving problems, building relationships with clients and centers of influence, and delivering personalized banking solutions. Success in this position requires a balance of strong operational expertise, regulatory discipline, and a genuine passion for client service and community involvement.


Duties and Responsibilities


• Lead, coach, and develop bank staff while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional client service.

• Collaborate in hiring, training, and coaching staff of the bank.

• Ensure that every associate within their bank represents the vision and mission of TrustBank while setting the tone for the culture within their location. 

• Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and performance coaching to bank associates while fostering a culture of accountability, service excellence, and professional growth.

• Partner with the Market President to execute strategic bank objectives, manage operational risk, and maintain a highly compliant and efficient banking environment. 

• Maintain a comprehensive knowledge of policies, rules, and regulations.

• Oversee staff scheduling.

• Help support lending at the bank by assisting in collecting documents to assist the loan process.

• Attend meetings as needed/required.

• Participate in community events or volunteer accordingly to support the bank’s visibility and outreach.

• Handle/Follow up on customer questions and support.

• Open new accounts and perform account changes/updates. 

• Open/Close bank as needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions and Essential Functions


This is a full-time exempt position, working a minimum of 40 hours per week and longer may be warranted to meet the demands of the job or other duties as assigned.  Hours will vary depending on the needs of the bank.  Regular schedule is Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM.  Well-lit office environment and the noise level is usually moderate.  The role routinely uses standard office equipment.  The duties of the job may require the employee to stand, walk, use hands, and feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands, arms, and talk, or hear.  Ability to lift 25 pounds.  Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.  Travel 10%.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The annual salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000/year, additional compensation is included in the range to include incentive and eligibility for a discretionary annual bonus.  Actual compensation offered will vary based on factors such as the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, education, and geographic location.  We take a holistic approach during the hiring process to understand each candidate’s background and align compensation appropriately, ensuring internal equity while allowing flexibility to recognize unique qualifications or expertise. Requirements:

 

 

Education and Experience

• Minimum of two years of financial institution assistant management experience or equivalent financial services experience, or three or more years of financial institution experience at the deposit operations level

• Job experience with extensive customer contact

• Prior supervisory or lead role experience is a plus

• Associates degree or higher in business or a related field is a preferred

• PC and Internet proficiency is a must


Required Skills and Abilities

PC, Microsoft Office 365 applications, internet proficiency, comfortable using approved AI-enabled resources such as Microsoft Copilot to support research, communication, workflow management, document creation, and problem solving is required.  Must have the ability to motivate employees in a team environment. Excellent communication and organization skills as well as strong critical thinking skills are needed to effectively set the best example to employees. Self-motivation is key.  Must have a basic understanding of debits and credits. Have strong basic math skills as well as the ability to learn and apply higher level mathematical concepts to practical situations.
