Position Information

Winthrop Position Title Band Graduate Assistant Job Purpose

Serve as music instrumental graduate assistant Fall and Spring semesters.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage the Band Library
• Attend and assist with conducting and music education courses
• Attend and assist with rehearsals of Symphonic band and Wind Symphony
• Assist with Winthrop Invitational Band Clinic
• Assist with Pep Band (basketball) as requested
• Assist with Commencement Band performances at all Commencements
• Proctor ensemble auditions at the start of fall and spring semesters
• Assist with Band Tour (biennial)
• Other duties as assigned

(subject to passing entrance audition)

Qualifications

Successful completion of a undergraduate music degree.

Preferred Skills

3-5 years successful teaching experience.

Technology and administrative skills.
