We are seeking a Senior SAP Functional Analyst / Lead specializing in SAP Production Planning (PP) to support enterprise SAP initiatives within a complex manufacturing environment. This role focuses on the implementation, configuration, and support of SAP S/4HANA Production Planning solutions.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, solution architects, developers, and system integrators to deliver SAP solutions that support production planning and manufacturing operations.
Lead workshops and facilitate business process discussions to design SAP solutions.
Collaborate with business SMEs, architects, developers, and system integrators to evaluate and improve existing processes and systems.
Identify and implement complex SAP PP configuration solutions to meet business needs.
Recommend and implement SAP best practices aligned with Clean Core guidelines.
Create and maintain documentation including:
Business Process Documents (BPDs)
Process flows
Configuration Design Documents (CDD)
Functional Design Specifications (FDS)
Key Decision Documents (KDD)
WRICEF objects
Translate functional specifications into application design documents.
Coordinate development activities with technical teams.
Develop test plans, test scripts, and test strategies.
Perform unit testing and integration testing for enhancements and new functionality.
Support testing cycles and lead root cause analysis and resolution of system issues.
Utilize tools such as SAP Solution Manager and Signavio.
Apply SAP Activate methodology and Agile (SAFe) development practices.
Support projects using SAP S/4HANA and FIORI applications.
12+ years of SAP Production Planning (PP) consulting experience
4+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA Production Planning
Experience with SAP S/4HANA PP and QM modules
Experience completing at least two end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementations
Experience working in large and complex enterprise environments
Experience working with SAP interfaces
Experience with user exits, batch jobs, and standard SAP reporting
Strong experience with SAP PP functionality including:
Material Master
MRP types and lot sizing
Bills of Material (BOM)
Routing and advanced routing
Capacity planning and leveling
Production orders and backflush processing
Demand management and forecasting
Planning strategies and stock requirements planning
S&OP and flexible planning
Experience with FIORI applications
Experience with S/4HANA PPDS or DDMRP
Experience with SAP Quality Management (QM)
Experience integrating SAP modules including:
Sales (SD)
Procurement (MM)
Warehouse (EWM)
Finance/Costing (FICO)
Quality (QM)
Experience with Engineering Change Management (ECM) and Order Change Management (OCM)
Experience with IBP or other planning tools
Experience in discrete or repetitive manufacturing environments
Experience in aerospace or defense industries
SAP certifications (PP, QM, MM) are a plus
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience. Advanced degrees or SAP certifications are preferred.
Hybrid schedule (2–3 days onsite in Berkeley, MO)
Must meet U.S. export compliance requirements
Successful completion of onboarding training may be required
