We are excited to introduce a wonderful opportunity for a Baking Technical Training Specialist! This vital role plays a pivotal part in fostering excellence and seamless execution for our Bakery Sales Solutions vendor partners and their customers. As a Baking Technical Training Specialist, you will support training initiatives, create engaging training materials, and facilitate memorable learning experiences for the retail grocery stores that choose our vendor products. Reporting to the division sales team, you'll collaborate closely with talented bakers and decorators, as well as cross-functional teams, to drive sales for our bakery offerings.
Position Summary:
We are looking for a Baking Technical Training Specialist to join our Bakery Sales Solutions team in Texas, primarily based in the DFW area, with travel to surrounding regions like Lubbock about 15-20% of the year. In this exciting role, you'll have the unique opportunity to engage directly with our retail partners through in-store visits, hands-on training, product merchandising, and representation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Training Support: You will assist in developing essential skills for local store personnel by providing guidance, instructions, and best practices tailored to their needs.
- Material Development: Craft customized training plans and materials for new product introductions, ensuring that our schematics and planograms are effective and engaging.
- Evaluation and Continuous Improvement: Always strive to identify opportunities for enhancing training content, delivery methods, and overall effectiveness, making sure our programs continue to meet the needs of our partners.
- Travel: Get ready for an exciting schedule! You'll travel for 3-5 days at a time to support grand openings, seasonal initiatives, project launches, and test innovative new product ideas.
Qualifications:
- Required: You should have strong skills in baking a variety of products, including breads, cakes, pastries, and donuts, along with hands-on experience in a retail or foodservice setting.
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in the baking industry is highly desirable, along with a proven track record in instructional design, training facilitation, program coordination, and talent development.
- Desired Skills: Proficiency in cake decorating
- Physical Requirements: You should be comfortable lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs, with occasional pushes/pulls of 50+ lbs, and a willingness to travel daily using your personal vehicle to visit multiple store locations.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook will be beneficial.
