Badging Clerk / Security System Technician
Sacramento, CA 95833
  • Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

SUMMARY/DUTIES:
  • The Badging Clerk / Security System Technician supports onsite identification badge production, access provisioning, and security system administration for employees, physicians, vendors, contractors, volunteers, students, and other authorized workforce members.
  • Responsibilities include issuing new and replacement badges, photographing badge holders, maintaining records, processing access changes, managing expiration dates, and supporting high-volume onboarding events.
  • The role performs daily badge data uploads for Workday and Kronos integration, creates barcodes for Point of Care systems, and troubleshoots badges across connected applications and facility systems.
  • Additional duties include monitoring badge request tickets, verifying authorization, terminating or suspending access when required, producing departmental reports, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing responsive customer service while following established security policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of recent relevant badging, security access, administrative, or technical support experience.
  • Experience issuing, programming, replacing, and troubleshooting employee and non-employee ID badges.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, data entry, and multiple computer applications.
  • Experience managing badge access changes for new hires, transfers, terminations, department moves, and special projects.
  • Ability to verify access requests and apply appropriate access levels while preventing unauthorized access.
  • Experience processing badge requests through a ticketing system and maintaining accurate badge records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a customer-service-focused approach.
  • Ability to support high-volume badge production, photography, barcode setup, and onboarding activities.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with C-Cure 9000, Lenel, Brivo, AMAG, or Genetec badge/access control systems.
  • Experience with Workday and Kronos integrations.
  • Experience troubleshooting badge connectivity with Imprivata, Follow-Me Printing, pneumatic tubes, ScrubEx, elevators, or other third-party systems.
  • Healthcare, hospital, or medical center security/badging experience.
  • Experience supporting physician, vendor, contractor, volunteer, and nursing school badge provisioning.
  • Experience creating badge production and transaction reports for HR, Payroll, Security, or other departments.
