Position Summary
Westhaven Golf Club has full-time Backwait positions available. Flexible schedules are offered.
The Backwait provides exceptional service in the dining room and other Food & Beverage outlets of the Club through the delivery of food and clearing of completed plates and glasses, and bussing tables.
Primary Responsibilities
- Assures that all material used by server is clean and ready for daily operation.
- Possesses knowledge of the position of each diner’s chair in the dining rooms and lounges.
- Sets the outside line with under liner plates, flatware, doilies, linen napkins and any other items needed for the delivering of food.
- Sets tables in accordance with Troon Golf standards.
- Ensures that each menu item is prepared in the exact detail outlined on each ticket..
- Fills and re-fills water glasses and removes any place settings not being used.
- Deliveries food from expo to table.
- Clears dishes located in front of guest upon completion of course.
- Clears and resets tables when guests leave, to include but not limited to: changes tablecloth, brushes chairs, places chairs at table, replaces silverware and glassware, and replaces napkins.
- Assists the server when needed.
- Keeps work stations and closets well stocked of items and ingredients.
- Clean workstations and closets, takes out trash, and vacuums the dining room.
- Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
- Performs other duties as required.

- Must work well with Food & Beverage team to deliver a seamless service.

Qualifications
- Two years of experience of restaurant work preferred, but not required.
- High level of cleanliness, organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player able to foster professional relationships with members, employees and guests.
- Great work ethic with a passion for exceeding member expectations and a commitment to excellence resulting in high quality member and guest service.
