Backend API Developer (Java/Spring Boot/Microservices)

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Backend API Developer with strong experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will design and develop scalable backend services that support telecom platforms and cloud-native applications.

You will work with cross-functional teams to build secure, high-performance APIs and distributed backend systems while following Agile development practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Backend Development experience - (Telecome Experience madnatory)

• Strong experience with Java 11/17

• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot

• Experience developing RESTful APIs

• Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture

• Experience with Spring Security, OAuth2, and JWT

• Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB

• Experience with Apache Kafka or other messaging platforms

• Experience using Docker and Kubernetes

• Git version control

• CI/CD using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps

• Strong SQL skills

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

Preferred Skills

• Telecom industry experience (OSS/BSS, Network Management, Provisioning)

• Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

• Spring Cloud

• OpenAPI/Swagger

• Redis

• Cassandra

• Elasticsearch

• Monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK)

• Linux environment

• Unit testing using JUnit and Mockito

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

• Build RESTful services and microservices.

• Develop secure, reusable, and maintainable backend components.

• Integrate APIs with databases and external systems.

• Optimize application performance and scalability.

• Implement authentication and authorization mechanisms.

• Participate in code reviews and Agile ceremonies.

• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.

• Collaborate with architects, QA engineers, DevOps teams, and product stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of Java Backend Development experience.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
