Meridian Automotive is looking for an experienced, motivated, and organized Back Parts Counterperson to join our growing team!
We're not your typical corporate repair shop. We're a locally owned, busy automotive repair facility that believes in taking care of our employees, investing in our equipment, and providing an environment where good people can do great work.
We're looking for someone who knows automotive parts, with an emphasis on Diesel parts. Cummins, Powerstroke, and Duramax to be exact. works well under pressure, and understands that getting the right parts to the right technician at the right time is critical to keeping our shop productive.

What You'll Be Doing
Look up, source, and order automotive and light-duty diesel parts.
Work directly with service advisors and technicians to ensure accurate parts identification and ordering.
Compare vendor pricing and availability to ensure competitive costs and timely deliveries.
Receive incoming parts, verify accuracy, and distribute them to the appropriate repair orders and technicians.
Coordinate returns, warranties, cores, and credits with vendors.
Maintain an organized, clean, and efficient parts department.
Track backordered parts and proactively communicate delivery updates.
Help maintain parts inventory and ensure accurate inventory records.
Build strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Work closely with the service team to minimize downtime and keep vehicles moving through the shop.
What We're Looking For
Previous Diesel parts experience preferred, ideally in a dealership, or an independent repair shop.
Strong automotive parts knowledge and familiarity with parts catalogs and ordering systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and team-first mentality.
Someone who takes ownership of their responsibilities and gets things done!
