Back-of-House Team Members are responsible for preparing Zaxby's menu items safely, consistently, and efficiently. Kitchen team members must maintain high standards for food quality, food safety, cleanliness, portion control, and speed of service.
Prepare menu items according to approved recipes, procedures, and portion standards.
Bread, cook, fry, grill, assemble, and finish products as assigned.
Operate fryers, grills, warming equipment, and other kitchen equipment safely.
Monitor cooking times and food temperatures.
Maintain appropriate product levels during service.
Follow FIFO product rotation procedures.
Properly label, date, store, and rotate food.
Prevent cross-contamination.
Follow handwashing and glove-use requirements.
Maintain a clean and sanitized workstation.
Communicate product needs and shortages to shift leadership.
Minimize food waste through proper preparation and portion control.
Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties.
Assist other kitchen stations during high-volume periods.
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
Strong attention to food safety and cleanliness.
Dependable and team-oriented.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
Ability to safely lift and move restaurant supplies as required.
