A Back of House Shift Leader is a key leader in the restaurant, ensuring excellent food quality and safety is upheld at all times. A Back of House Shift Leader consistently demonstrates our core values, embraces the Chick-fil-A culture and has a servant's heart. They have a passion for people and serving others, have strong character, take initiative and work with a sense of urgency at all times. Our Team Leaders are responsible for supporting senior leadership in executing daily operations and keeping team members accountable for each component of Operational Excellence and our Recipe for Service. A Team Leader's two main areas of focus are completing tasks so that the restaurant runs effectively, and coaching/developing team members. Team Leaders lead by example and set the tone that others will follow.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

• Serve as key-holding leader and point person for back of house closing, midday, or opening shift
• Ensure team completes all opening or closing tasks as assigned
• Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly and efficiently, meeting Chick-fil-A standards
• May assist with ordering truck and organizing kitchen inventory as needed
• Ensure next shift is set up for success
• Keep the kitchen neat, clean and orderly at all times
• Keep up-to-date with new products rolled out by Chick-fil-A
• Monitor kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues
• Adhere to Chick-fil-A rules and dress code at all times
• Participating operationally in day-to-day activities in high-volume, fast-paced Restaurant
• Assist in training of new hires, set the tone for a shift, and act as a role model for our team
• Be a friendly, encouraging team player
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Available to work weekends (Friday/Saturday)
• Available to lead opening and/or closing shifts
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong people skills with a desire to serve Team Members
• Strong commitment to superior customer service
• Ability to manage Team Member behavioral and performance issues
• Ability to work in a team environment with shared ownership and responsibility
• Prior experience as shift lead, crew lead, supervisor, team lead, restaurant manager, restaurant assistant manager is not required but is preferred.
