Epitec is seeking a Back-End Software Development Engineering Senior Engineer for a remote, long-term contract opportunity. This role focuses on developing and maintaining enterprise back-end applications, APIs, integrations, and business processes supporting IBM Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF), formerly IBM TRIRIGA. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer with strong Java, API, and enterprise integration experience, particularly within facilities, real estate, or workplace management platforms.

• Security Check Required
• Pay Range: $54-$56/hr

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end applications, APIs, microservices, and integrations.
• Develop and support enterprise solutions within IBM Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF) and IBM TRIRIGA environments.
• Build and maintain REST APIs and integration services using Java and JSON.
• Design and support business objects, business processes, DataConnect integrations, and Integration Objects.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver scalable technical solutions.
• Support HR data integrations, organizational hierarchy synchronization, and employee lifecycle data flows.
• Integrate workplace reservation and room booking functionality with Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and Graph API.
• Support CAD/DXF floorplan integrations and publishing processes.
• Develop and maintain database integrations and data management solutions.
• Participate in application deployment, monitoring, performance optimization, security hardening, and disaster recovery planning.
• Contribute to CI/CD processes, testing strategies, and development best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 10+ years of IT experience and 8+ years of software development experience.
• Strong experience with Java development.
• Experience developing and consuming REST APIs.
• Experience working with JSON and Apache POI.
• Experience with Azure-based or enterprise application environments.
• Experience with enterprise API gateway platforms such as Apigee.
• Strong understanding of enterprise application integrations and data synchronization.
• Experience with IBM TRIRIGA and/or IBM Maximo Real Estate and Facilities (MREF) highly preferred.
• Experience with TRIRIGA business objects, business processes, DataConnect, Integration Objects, and platform administration preferred.
• Experience with facilities management, real estate management, lease management, workplace reservations, and space management preferred.
• Experience integrating HR systems, Exchange/Outlook, Microsoft Graph API, or enterprise data platforms preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
