DPP is seeking a Back-end Developer for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.
 
Work location: Partial onsite Tues., Wed., Thurs. and as needed; remote Mon. and Fri.
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 contract
Other: Open to remote, no further west than Texas. East coast hours 9AM – 5PM.
Training: If possible, the first week of training is onsite in Columbia, SC.
 
Position summary:
  • This developer will primarily be focused on recoding the My Insurance Manager provider website. This is a multiyear effort. It will involve daily design calls, coding, and typical agile ceremonies.
  • Experience with a technical re-write is a plus!
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to adapt and effectively manage multiple concurrent work requests, and a proactive, self-motivated approach to learning and performance.
  • This role requires a collaborative team player who can also exhibit leadership qualities, take ownership of initiatives, and contribute positively to both team and organizational success.

Minimum required work experience:
  • 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience 
About the team:
  • The Commercial Web team consists of two team leads, one manager, one system designer, one analyst and seven developers (front-end, back-end and full-stack).
  • The team works collaboratively with onsite and remote workers.
  • They are a supportive team that genuinely enjoys each other’s company. 
Required education/equivalencies:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree;
  • OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience;
  • OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 8 years without a degree)
