The Estimator/ B2B Sales is responsible for preparing accurate, detailed cost estimates for elevators, Stairlifts fabrication, modernization, and installation projects. This role analyzes drawings, specifications, materials, labor requirements, and vendor pricing to develop competitive bids and support project planning. The Estimator works closely with project managers, fabrication teams, and leadership to ensure proposals are precise, timely, and aligned with production capabilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesReview architectural drawings, layouts, specifications, and scope documents to determine project requirements
Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, fabrication, installation, and subcontractor pricing
Evaluate cab finishes, metals, woodwork, lighting, glass, and specialty components to determine accurate material costs
Request and analyze vendor quotes for materials, hardware, and specialty fabrication
Collaborate with project managers and production teams to validate feasibility, timelines, and resource needs
Develop bid proposals, pricing sheets, and supporting documentation for customer submissions
Identify cost saving opportunities, value engineering options, and alternative materials when appropriate
Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and awarded projects
Assist in handoff meetings to ensure smooth transition from estimating to production and installation
Track market pricing trends and maintain updated cost databases
3 5+ years estimating experience in elevators, mobility , millwork, carpentry, HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical fabrication, or related trades a plus
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications
Knowledge of construction, materials, finishes, and fabrication processes
Proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheets, and measurement tools
Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines in a fast paced environment
Base plus commission
Stable full time schedule
