Operations Lead - Parcel Sortation
Pay Rate: $19/hr
Schedule: Thursday-Saturday 6:30AM-7:00PM

Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable and motivated Operations Lead - Parcel Sortation to oversee daily parcel operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This leadership role is responsible for monitoring the complete parcel lifecycle, including label creation, print-and-apply (Panda) sortation, staging, dock loading, and outbound shipment readiness. The ideal candidate has experience leading warehouse teams, maintaining operational efficiency, ensuring safety compliance, and driving continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily parcel sortation operations from label creation through outbound loading.
- Monitor Print-and-Apply (Panda) systems to ensure accurate labeling and package routing.
- Conduct routine Gaylord audits to verify shipment accuracy, compliance, and outbound readiness.
- Coordinate staging, scanning, and loading activities to meet carrier schedules and shipping deadlines.
- Manage dock operations to ensure efficient freight flow and trailer utilization.
- Monitor parcel service health and report operational performance, productivity, and dock metrics to management.
- Identify workflow issues and partner with maintenance or support teams to resolve equipment and operational concerns.
- Enforce company safety policies and coach associates on safe work practices.
- Hold team members accountable for meeting quality, productivity, and attendance expectations.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with implementing operational enhancements.
- Support leadership with daily warehouse operations and complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2 years of warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience.
- Previous experience in parcel sortation, fulfillment, shipping/receiving, or dock operations preferred.
- Prior leadership or team lead experience is highly preferred.
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and lead teams in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse.
- Regularly lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 75 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
