About Mountain Auto Care

Mountain Auto Care is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician to join its independent repair shop in Durango, Colorado.
This position offers a $50,000-$100,000 annual salary with a Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM schedule and no nights or weekends.
Technicians work in a clean, modern environment with up-to-date equipment, structured workflows, mentorship, paid training, and opportunities for advancement.
This is a hands-on role performing automotive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnostics appropriate to the technician's skill level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform automotive maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics appropriate to your skill level
  • Complete accurate vehicle inspections and clearly document findings
  • Produce quality repair work efficiently while following shop safety procedures
  • Follow established shop procedures and workflows
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
  • Communicate clearly with service advisors and fellow technicians
  • Work with senior technicians and ask questions when additional guidance is needed
  • Participate in ongoing automotive training and skill development

Qualifications

  • Prior hands-on automotive repair experience; this is not an entry-level position
  • Experience performing automotive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and diagnostics appropriate to your skill level
  • Dependable attendance and a collaborative, team-oriented approach
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and continue developing technical skills
  • Professional communication with coworkers and customers
  • ASE certifications are a plus

Compensation & Benefits

Mountain Auto Care offers a salary of $50,000-$100,000 per year, paid biweekly.
