About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician in Oakland, CA.
Earn $40-$45 per hour plus production bonuses in a busy, family-owned independent repair shop with over 40 years in business.
Enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule with no weekends, modern diagnostic equipment, and an opportunity to advance to A-Level Technician.
Key Responsibilities
Perform brake, suspension, steering, and general automotive repairs.
Complete intermediate engine, transmission, and drivability repairs.
Perform digital vehicle inspections with photos and accurate findings.
Inspect and road-test completed repairs for quality.
Work efficiently toward a target of 50 flagged hours per week.
Assist with tire and alignment work when needed.
Work alongside the lead diagnostic technician to develop advanced skills.
Qualifications
At least 5 years of professional automotive repair experience.
Strong B-Level mechanical repair skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain high productivity.
Proven attention to repair quality and minimizing comebacks.
Own professional hand tools.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
ASE certification preferred; smog license is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
$40-$45 per hour, based on experience.
Estimated annual earnings of $104,000-$114,400 at that production level, assuming consistent weekly production throughout the year. Actual earnings vary.
