About Advantage Auto Service

Advantage Auto Service is seeking an experienced B-Level Automotive Technician to join its team in Palmyra, New Jersey. This is a busy, team-focused repair shop averaging approximately 50 vehicles per week, with a steady workflow that supports a target of about 40 flagged hours per technician.

The shop features three service bays with three lifts, an alignment rack, and air conditioning and heat in the bays, providing a more comfortable working environment year-round. Technicians also have access to Snap-on, Autel, and TOPDON scan tools, pass-through programming equipment, and shop-provided specialty and diagnostic tools.

Advantage Auto Service emphasizes teamwork, clear goals, and professional growth. The team gets together for lunch every Wednesday to review progress, and technicians can take advantage of paid training, ASE reimbursement, and pay increases for earned ASE certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general automotive repair, maintenance, and vehicle inspections.
• Complete brake, suspension, cooling system, water pump, window regulator, and external engine component repairs.
• Remove and replace automotive components as required for assigned repair work.
• Perform basic to intermediate automotive diagnostics using available scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Service primarily Asian and domestic vehicles while working on some European and fleet vehicles.
• Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections using Tekmetric; training is available for candidates without prior DVI experience.
• Work toward an expected production level of approximately 40 flagged hours per week.
• Coordinate with the shop foreman or manager to maintain an efficient repair workflow.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of professional automotive repair experience REQUIRED.
• Experience servicing and repairing Asian and domestic vehicles is required; European vehicle experience is a plus.
• Ability to independently perform general repair and maintenance work.
• Basic to intermediate automotive diagnostic capability.
• Experience using automotive scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
• ASE certifications are preferred.
• Must provide personal basic hand tools; specialty and diagnostic tools are provided by the shop.

Compensation & Benefits

• $25-$45 per hour under a hybrid pay plan.
• Estimated annual earning potential of $80,000-$100,000 based on the stated pay plan, productivity, and applicable bonuses; actual earnings vary and are not guaranteed.
