Azure Technical Migration Consultant

Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Azure Technical Migration Consultant with 10+ years of experience and strong hands-on expertise in Azure Stack Hub (ASH), Azure Stack Edge (ASE), Azure Local, Azure Arc, and hybrid Azure infrastructure.

This is not a general Azure Cloud Engineer position. The ideal candidate will have experience leading complex Azure Stack-to-Azure/Azure Local migration initiatives, including migration architecture, technical discovery, infrastructure assessment, automation validation, troubleshooting, and Tier-3/Tier-4 technical escalations.

• 10+ years of IT/Cloud Infrastructure experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure Stack Hub
• Experience with Azure Stack Edge
• Experience with Azure Local
• Strong Azure Arc knowledge
• Azure hybrid-cloud architecture and connectivity
• Azure networking, identity, security, storage, monitoring, backup and DR
• Azure migration architecture and technical leadership
• PowerShell scripting and troubleshooting
• Migration automation and deployment tooling
• Technical discovery and migration readiness assessments
• Migration runbooks, rollback strategies and recovery planning
• Tier-3/Tier-4 troubleshooting and escalation management
• Root Cause Analysis and remediation planning
• Experience working with Microsoft engineering/product teams
• Strong customer-facing and executive-level communication skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead technical migrations from Azure Stack Hub and Azure Stack Edge to Azure and Azure Local
• Assess customer environments and identify migration patterns, dependencies, risks and readiness
• Design migration approaches covering compute, storage, networking, identity, security, monitoring, backup and DR
• Lead technical discovery workshops with enterprise customers
• Review migration runbooks, engineering procedures, rollback strategies, and operational readiness plans
• Validate migration scripts, PowerShell workflows, automation frameworks and deployment tools
• Troubleshoot complex hybrid infrastructure and edge-environment issues
• Serve as a Tier-3/Tier-4 technical escalation point
• Coordinate with Microsoft Product Engineering, Support, Account Teams and Cloud Solution Architects
• Perform root-cause analysis for failed or delayed migrations
• Develop migration guidance, troubleshooting documentation, and reusable technical artifacts
• Lead customer technical discussions and present migration architecture and technical recommendations
