Introduction

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as an Azure Databricks Engineer. This role is essential for designing and implementing scalable data solutions on Azure, leveraging Databricks and Apache Spark technologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Databricks and Apache Spark
• Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
• Expertise in ETL/ELT development and optimization
• Strong skills in data modeling and performance tuning
• Proficiency in Python or Scala
• Experience with Azure cloud-based data platforms
• Production support and operational monitoring experience
• Prior work experience in the Insurance/Brokerage domain or related industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in developing and deploying AI/ML models and advanced analytics solutions
• Implementing Agentic AI / GenAI solutions using Databricks
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks, Spark, and PySpark
• Build and optimize SQL-based data transformation and analytics solutions
• Collaborate with product owners, data architects, analysts, and business teams on data models and workflows
• Develop Delta Lake structures and enterprise data pipelines
• Implement job orchestration, monitoring, and data quality controls
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines for Databricks notebooks, jobs, and workflows
• Support Azure-based cloud data platforms and ensure reliable, high-performing data operations
