We are seeking an experienced Azure Cosmos DB Architect to design, optimize, and support highly scalable Azure Cosmos DB solutions for high-volume enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cosmos DB, Azure cloud architecture, distributed systems, and related Azure services.

Description:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cosmos DB Architect to design, optimize, and support highly scalable Azure Cosmos DB solutions for high-volume enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cosmos DB, Azure cloud architecture, distributed systems, and related Azure services.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Design and optimize Azure Cosmos DB solutions for high-volume workloads.
• Define data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and data lifecycle strategies.
• Optimize RU consumption, throughput, latency, and database performance.
• Support deployments, schema changes, capacity planning, and production incidents.
• Design high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region solutions.
• Troubleshoot performance and production issues.
• Integrate Cosmos DB with Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
• Develop operational runbooks, documentation, and engineering standards.
• Recommend scalability and cost optimization improvements.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of hands-on Azure Cosmos DB experience.
• Strong Cosmos DB data modeling, partitioning, indexing, and query optimization.
• Experience with RU/s optimization and performance tuning.
• Experience with Change Feed, multi-region deployments, and global distribution.
• Strong knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery.
• Experience with Azure cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.
• Hands-on experience with Azure Functions, App Services, AKS, Event Hubs, Service Bus, and Application Insights.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant Azure Cosmos DB experience.
• Experience supporting high-volume, always-on enterprise applications.
• Strong documentation and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work onsite in Phoenix, Dallas, or Columbus.
