    Description

    Marchon's healthcare client is seeking a versatile AWS System Administrator/DevOps Engineer to manage, maintain, and optimize their critical Medicaid Management application environment. This role requires expertise in traditional system administration (RHEL, WebLogic, Oracle) and modern DevOps practices on AWS. A key responsibility will be building a Proof of Concept (POC) to re-architect and rebuild the legacy application in a scalable, cloud-native AWS environment.

    SKILLS:

    · Proven experience as a System Administrator or DevOps Engineer managing enterprise-level applications.

    · Strong expertise in AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, etc.).

    · Hands-on experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) administration.

    · Proficiency in administering WebLogic application servers and supporting Java/J2EE applications.

    · Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers in AWS cloud environments (EC2 instances).

    · Familiarity with Oracle databases from a system administration perspective.

    · Experience with version control systems, specifically GitLab, and CI/CD practices.

    · Strong scripting skills (Shell, Python, etc.).

    · Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices in cloud environments.

    · Experience or familiarity with healthcare data management and compliance standards is a plus.

    · Develop POC for migrating code base from WebLogic to JBoss, and ORACLE RDS to Postgres

    · Handson with Containerization

    · Collaboration work with development teams to streamline the process.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: (Experience and Education)

    · Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, IT with 15+ years' experience, or equivalent in healthcare administration setting
