    Description

****REQUIRED IN OFFICE TWO DAYS A WEEK****

Our client is looking for a sharp, driven DevOps Engineer to help build, optimize, and secure the infrastructure.

This isn't a maintenance role. This is a foundational build opportunity, where you'll help to shape CI/CD pipelines, scale AWS infrastructure, drive automation and leave your fingerprints on a platform.

Here's what makes this role different:

    • You'll join an established DevOps team and bring real influence to how we build, scale, and operate — your expertise will shape decisions, not just execute them
    • You'll work across AWS, CI/CD, security, and observability, genuine full-spectrum DevOps work
    • You'll partner closely with development, architecture, and QA teams in a flat, collaborative environment where your voice carries weight
    • You'll help drive SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001 compliance, meaningful, high-stakes work that matters
    • You'll join a company that has thrived for 25+ years with the agility and mission-focus most organizations lose along the way

If you're a DevOps engineer who's energized by building things right, moving fast without breaking things, and doing work that genuinely matters, keep reading.

As the DevOps Engineer you work with the infrastructure, software development, and data engineering teams. The primary focus of the DevOps Engineer will be to help the team build, maintain, and operate infrastructure to support our SaaS business. Further, you will also help to lay the foundation for creating processes and automation that will speed up product testing and deployment going forward.

    Job Mission

To design, implement, and optimize DevOps infrastructure and processes that enable faster product testing, deployment, and operational scalability, ensuring the reliable delivery of the platform to their customers through efficient, scalable and cost-effective methodologies.

    • Manage and Optimize CI/CD Pipelines - Build, maintain, and expand continuous integration and deployment pipelines to accelerate and improve product testing, development, and deployment.
    • Monitor performance – Proactively build out monitoring and alerting to measure and analyze system performance, assist engineering teams in trouble shooting, and discover opportunities for improvement.
    • Administer and Scale AWS Infrastructure - Maintain the existing AWS environment, provide expertise on multi-environment AWS infrastructure, and evaluate cloud services to ensure scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
    • Automate and Streamline Processes - Design and implement automated processes and testing workflows, system monitoring solutions, and developmental workflows, striving for continuous improvement in efficiency and performance.
    • Manage 3rd Party DevOps Tools – Administer and maintain a suite of third-party DevOps tools, including performance reporting, vulnerability scanning, and SIEM systems, ensuring reliable integrations, proper access controls, and up-to-date configurations and documentation.
    • Champion Security and Compliance – Ensure infrastructure and systems align with SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 requirements by maintaining audit logging, access controls, and data encryption standards, while supporting annual compliance assessments and audits.

The Consortium is managed by four partners averaging over 17 years experience in information technology recruiting and professional services management. The Consortium’s agile and responsive team is capable of quickly identifying and screening properly qualified people for all technical skill sets saving our clients valuable time when reviewing candidates.

We offer a wide array of services including:

    Contingency Permanent Placement- HeadHunting
We identify, evaluate and introduce employees for your permanent staff. We earn our fee when the individual becomes your employee and remains on your payroll until the guarantee period expires.

    Temporary To Permanent
We identify the individual; perform an evaluation; introduce the applicant and you make the selection. We will put the person on our payroll for a defined period of time after which you make her/him a permanent member of your staff. The specific terms will be negotiated on a case by case basis which may include no additional fee or a reduced fee depending on the initial terms. The advantage of this approach allows you to evaluate the individual on a daily basis before deciding to “permanentize” her/him and, to spread your costs out over an extended period.

    Staff Augmentation
We will provide you a contractor for a temporary period of time. This approach is implemented when the client: 1. needs people to complete a project and has no anticipated need after completion; 2. does not have a permanent “head count” budget; or 3. when the client has been unable to identify an individual with a required expertise on an expeditious basis. During the term of the assignment, should the client wish to permanently employ the contractor, The Consortium will be pleased to negotiate terms amenable to the client.

    Retained Search
Retained searches are entered into when the client desires fully focused recruitment of a key individual. This arrangement requires that The Consortium use its full resources including its network of friends of the company, sourcing and researching. The Consortium commits to a one hundred percent effort on behalf of the retainer client only and guarantees that applicants identified for this undertaking will not be referred to other clients until a release is granted. The Consortium, after identifying candidates, will have an appropriate Advisory Board member assist in evaluation. A resume, references and a Consortium profile will be provided to the client prior to interview and The Consortium personnel will remain intimately involved throughout the entire process.
