AWS Data Engineer

Impetus is seeking a seasoned AWS Data Engineer with strong experience in cloud-based data engineering, ETL/ELT development, and data pipeline architecture. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing scalable data pipelines, building data lakes and warehouses, and ensuring reliable data ingestion and processing across AWS environments. This role requires a strong focus on data quality, performance optimization, automation, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-quality data solutions.

What You'll Bring

• 6-12 years of experience in Data Engineering with strong hands-on experience in AWS cloud environments.
• Strong experience designing and developing scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions.
• Strong programming and data processing experience using Python, SQL, and PySpark.
• Experience working with large-scale data platforms, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Strong understanding of data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, partitioning, and performance tuning.
• Experience with cloud-based data lake and analytics architectures.
• Understanding of AWS monitoring, logging, and production support practices.
• Knowledge of security best practices including IAM, encryption, access controls, and compliance.
