Server Administration, Hardening, and Technical Advisory
• Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based web hosting environments.
• Evaluate server-level recommendations and explain the technical purpose, risks, and implement considerations to non-infrastructure stakeholders.
• Support server-hardening efforts, OS patching, vulnerability remediation, SSH configuration, SSL/TLS configuration, and access-control improvements.
• Provide guidance on PHP-FPM, Apache, NGINX, memory allocation, CPU utilization, log analysis, and capacity planning.
• Review vendor recommendations, challenge assumptions when needed, and advise whether proposed changes are appropriate for the environment.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in AWS infrastructure engineering, DevOps, cloud operations, or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on experience managing AWS production environments.
• Experience with EC2, IAM, security groups, VPCs, Route53, CloudWatch, S3, and application load balancers.
